Morbid

Morbid

Definition: 1.Thinking of gloomy or unpleasant things. 2. Unhealthy (in medicine)-morbid growth
I have a morbid fascination
You can see it in my work,
I have a morbid mind inside
It's easy to see I'm caught.

The morbid childhood that I led has followed me behind,
But now I shed that child I was,
To show you I'm not blind.

I see it all around me,
The morbid and the dead,
They walk amongst the living,
They are sleeping in our beds.

They do not know they have died,
Their hearts beat a solid rhythm,
But they have died inside their mind,
This stupid sadistic vision.

The breath they breathe is all they have,
For in their hearts there is a part,
That is black, cold and dead.

How can they go on living in their morbid reality?
How can they go on thinking?
They are better than me?
When I see the inside,
For what it really is,
I see the heart they have
Is a given gift to thee?

Morbid in my mind and thoughts,
Morbid hearts in shells,
Encased in shared emotions,
Their soul screams and yells,
But they will never hear it,
Nor face reality,
How can they, when they cannot see,
The things inside that I see?
