Dear Death

Dear Death

Can you hear me as I call your name?
Can you hear me as I call and call?
Come and take this worthless being,
Come and take it all.

Give me a knife, a river, a stake,
Give me release, from hurt and hate,
Get this stupid heart away,
Get away the light of day.

I need to feel strong,
I need release,
I know its wrong,
I need you to please.

Oh Father are you there?
Oh father do you hear my tears?
Oh Angels can you lend me your wings?
Oh let me fly away from these fears.

My world is sinking,
My dreams are dark and cold,
My life is so lonely,
My children are my only hope.

Come now Angel,
Take my life,
I give it to you this night,
If I live to see the sun,
I'll know I was not the one,
The chosen,
The blessed,
The dead.
